My work is natural and honest and I've developed a shooting style that at its core, is about you feeling comfortable. It's not only important to me that you love your photos but that you enjoyed the process of taking the photos too!

Very few people are used to having their photo taken, in fact, it makes a lot of people nervous. I can assure you that with The Wild Air Photography, the entire process is enjoyable. I am very good at relaxing those who feel uncomfortable and I am well versed in capturing real moments with minimal intrusion and 'posing' involved.

I currently offer two packages. A fully comprehensive package with all day coverage and a package specifically for couples who are getting married in The City of Edinburgh and are looking for something more simple. If you would like more information about my work and the packages I provide, please don't hesitate to get in touch. Tell me about your special day and I can send you more information on what I offer.

We first met Kristie in a cafe a few weeks before the wedding, and after an hour of coffee, cake, and good chat (most of which wasn't even about the wedding!) we were certain we were in safe hands. Throughout the whole process, Kristie managed to get exactly the right balance between being professional, while also being informal and relaxed. On the day itself, she also went above and beyond in gently corralling the bridal party so we actually made it to the ceremony on time, even after my dad disappeared off to make last minute changes to his speech! Kristie's warmth and humour definitely put us at our ease in front of the camera, and we couldn't be more pleased with her pictures. All in all, The Wild Air Photography was the ideal choice for us, and we can't recommend Kristie highly enough! - Ruth and Kaleb

Choosing a wedding photographer is really hard and it requires a lot of trust. For me personally, it was the most important choice of the day, because, after it’s over and the dress is hanging up, I knew I wanted to have the memories. Everyone will tell you the day passes in a blur and it does. The photographer’s challenge is to remind you of every minute of the day and show you the bits you didn’t see. We came to Kristie in a bind, six weeks before our wedding we had been left with no photographer. I knew Kristie from a portrait series she done previously and she stepped up and saved the day at a moment where we were both ready to crack. From the first phone call we both knew we had the right person to capture the most important day of our lives. Her work speaks for itself, it’s stunning. Both Pete and I hate having our photograph taken and yet with Kristie it was easy. She helped guide us and put us at ease but equally she was unobtrusive. She and her assistant captured everything, from the small details of the set up of the day to the stunning portraits of us and our guests and just the joy of the day. We look back at every photo and see the happiness, not only ours, but the guests. All the hidden glances and moments that maybe we missed on the day. All captured for us to keep forever. I cannot recommend Kristie enough, she is the perfect choice. - Saskia and Pete

We cannot recommend The Wild Air Photography highly enough. From our initial email enquiry, Kristie was extremely responsive and professional, and we were delighted that she could accommodate our wedding at such short notice. In particular, the City of Edinburgh package sounded perfect for our needs: an intimate wedding in the city centre followed by an informal brunch at a local restaurant. My now-husband and I really appreciated the opportunity to get to know Kristie a few weeks before our wedding at a local bar. We were able to discuss our plans for the day and share our expectations and ideas for our photographs. On the wedding day itself, Kristie was brilliant. She gave us minimal direction and was conscious of capturing us and the wedding party candidly and naturally throughout. In particular, we were glad that she convinced us to don our trainers for a trek up Arthur's Seat in the drizzle for our couple photos! Kristie sent on a couple of photos from the wedding the very same afternoon to give us a snapshot of the album, and we were even more impressed at the super quick turnaround of the rest of the photos. Overall, a fantastic experience - and beautiful photographs - thank you very much! - Chloe and Paul

'We would strongly recommend Kristie. She made everything so easy and her photos are incredible. She talked to us beforehand and managed to capture the day exactly how we wanted and we have some fabulous photos to help us to relive it all!' - Jess and Ed

'From start to finish, our experience with The Wild Air Photography was absolutely wonderful. We knew from looking through the website that Kristie's style of photography was exactly what we were looking for, and our first few email exchanges cemented that initial gut feeling- the whole process was straightforward and hugely enjoyable! We live in Surrey so we skyped with Kristie for our first meeting - she was so lovely and we knew that she 'got' us and what we were hoping for our wedding day. We also met up in Edinburgh in person to chat about the day and what we were hoping for our photos as well, which was great to break the ice. On the day, Kristie and her assistant were there to capture every moment - I am not a fan of getting lots of photos taken of myself but Kristie made me forget the camera was there! They stayed right from getting ready and through to the mad ceilidh dancing, and blended right in with our guests. My mother, who is sitting next to me, has said I must say how much of a fan she is as well - so there is a huge mother of the bride stamp of approval too! Kristie sent us a photo straight away to keep us going until the rest were ready, which wasn't too long a wait. The finished set of photos took our breath away - they captured the day beautifully, and so naturally too, which was exactly what we wanted. They really captured the feeling of the day, and it's such a joy to look back on. Thank you, Kristie, for all your hard work and for your kindness and your lovely self! We would recommend The Wild Air a hundred times over.' - MC and Mac

'Having Kristie as our photographer really made our wedding day extra special. We wanted to feel relaxed and enjoy the day without feeling like we were posing for hundreds of photos and Kristie made that happen; capturing beautiful off guard moments that reflect what a great day it was. We weren’t tied down to a schedule and Kristie seamlessly blended in, getting some amazing pictures of our family and friends enjoying themselves. We felt completely at ease and the photos are perfect, we can’t stop looking at them! - Martha and Mike'

'Working with Kristie was amazing from start until finish. We met up to discuss ideas and I left feeling like Kristie really understood my vision, she went to extra effort to ensure I got what I imagined. Kristie has a warm and understanding nature, which just perfectly compliments a stressed out bride! On the day Kristie was by my side for every little part of it. It was so special and I felt completely at ease with her. She really captured my wedding as I saw it and how I remembered it. My photos were stunningly natural and not staged. My husband suffers horribly from "false smile" when a camera comes into contact with him and I do strange things with my head... Kristie managed to catch us at our best. I would love to work with Kristie again and couldn't recommend her enough to family and friends' - Erin and Iain
