We took a short trip to Mull and Iona this weekend. My first time visiting both and I fell in love with another part of Scotland. I grew up in the far, far north, outside the most northerly town in fact (Thurso), and I miss the tranquillity of a real remoteness, a remoteness that Mull and Iona offer. With the referendum just around the corner, I walked the mossy hills of Mull and the soft, white beaches of Iona thinking of Scotland's future.
